A visit to our ever-growing downtown area, featuring the newly opened 25-acre Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park, Armature Works or the exciting Channelside and Ybor entertainment districts, will provide you with plenty to see and do. Of particular note is the downtown Riverwalk that connects venues along our scenic riverfront leading visitors to recreational and cultural attractions including Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park providing opportunities to relax, play, attend community events, and enjoy amazing views of Tampa and the Hillsborough River. You will discover a variety of amenities that feature interactive fountains, playgrounds, bike share stations, water taxi stops, and opportunities to visit the Glazer Children's Museum, Tampa Museum of Art, and the Tampa Bay History Center. These state-of-the-art facilities honor our community's history, heritage, and commitment to the arts. The Riverwalk leads to Water Works Park which features a playground, performance space, and the beautifully restored Ulele Springs where shorebirds and an occasional manatee may be spotted. In the heart of Tampa is Perry Harvey Sr. Park, serving as a tribute to our city's rich African American history through interactive art.
